SSCA is looking for highly motivated individuals who are willing to serve on the 2012 Leadership Team. Membership responsibilities include being available for two or three meetings during the year and performing essential duties and tasks involved in promoting social studies education across the state. Positions are available in the following areas:

• Awards Committee
• Communication Committee
• Newsletter Committee
• By-Laws Committee
• Conference Committee (Promotions)
• District Directors for Districts 1,2,3,4,and 7
• and opening positions on the Advisory Board

If you would like to become more involved in SSCA and are interested in applying for a position of leadership, please apply today! Positions are for a two year term and will begin in January, 2012. Must be a current member of the SSCA (Membership link).

• Serve a two-year term beginning January 2012.
• Attend two or three meetings each year, including the SSCA annual conference.
• Perform essential duties and task of the position you serve, as determined by the Advisory Board.
• Promote Social Studies education in Alabama.
