You and your students are invited to join early America’s journey for independence, liberty, and self- government. At the American Village, students step into the scenes of American history. They meet persons of the past face to face, and better understand the risks, uncertainties, and dramatic stories accompanying America’s revolutionary decision to declare its independence. They become active participants in “Securing the Blessings of Liberty” and in turn, leave with a better foundation for good citizenship.
Students from every grade level participate in experiential learning. The American Village is unique in its mission to strengthen and renew the foundations of American liberty and self-government through citizenship education. More than a field trip, American Village educational programs are tied directly to objectives in the Alabama Course of Study in history, citizenship (civics) and government, as well as graduation standards.
Visit our website www.americanvillage.org to see the different programs that are offered. To make a reservation call Jessica Averett, Reservations Manager at (205)665-3535 or toll free 877-811-1776 ext. 1062.
